Career Fairs, Strategic Plans and Employment Offers
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Werner Electric, I’m responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment for open positions at our 13 branch locations. From application to start date, I’m the one who guides candidates through our hiring and on-boarding process. It’s up to me to source and identify candidates through social media, career fairs, internal/external networks, and other recruitment tools. A great deal of my time is spent conducting phone interviews, recruiting at career fairs, generating offers, and developing strategic plans for our recruitment efforts. I work closely with Werner Electric managers to understand their needs and team dynamics, and then prioritize position openings based on business needs. I travel to different branch locations for interviews and identify candidates for internships and full-time roles.
I absolutely love what I do here at Werner Electric, and I couldn’t ask for a better company to work for! The fact that we have a strong brand locally is a big help when it comes to securing candidates. We’re widely known as a, “great place to work.” In my role, I feel I’m able to make a significant impact on the performance and growth of our various teams. Finding a great technical and team fit gives me a sense of accomplishment. I also take pride in being the face of the organization for job-seekers. Oftentimes, I’m the first point-of-contact for candidates interested in Werner Electric positions and I get to build relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process. I’m passionate about bringing the best people into the organization while providing a great experience for candidates. If anyone reading this is interested in a career at Werner Electric, get at me!
