Continual Improvement Award Goes To…
Mark Mueller, Werner Electric Supply RDC Warehouse Supervisor, recently led a Continuous Improvement project which increased teammate productivity and reduced labor hours. Mark’s RDC team slotted the fastest moving inventory into the most efficient locations within the pick module. The team then created a system of replenishment to ensure that these locations stay stocked for customer orders. The project resulted in pick module productivity increasing from 43 to 58 lines per hour. The project is saving Werner Electric Supply over $90,000 in annual labor costs!
Fantastic Addition to Werner Electric
Mark has been a fantastic addition to Werner Electric Supply throughout the past 6 years. He began as a temp-to-hire filling the role as a 2nd shift order picker in August, 2012. He was hired on as a full time employee later that same year. Mark was quickly promoted to 2nd shift Team Lead, then 2nd Shift Supervisor, and is currently Mid-Shift Supervisor, overseeing pick module operations. Mark recently completed Continuous Improvement training which required the completion of two major projects. The Pick Module Slotting project turned out to be one of those successful projects.
Great job Mark! Thank you for all you do to help make Werner Electric Supply a great place to work!
