Technical Training Opportunities in Appleton

June’s Training Schedule

  • Logix Foundations: This two-day class will take place on June 3 – 4, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and will give participants a broad understanding of the Logix platform and Studio 5000 programming software.
  • Logix Advanced: On June 5 – 6, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. attendees will build on the material learned in Logix Foundations and will focus on the premier integration of Rockwell devices. Hands-on lab time integrates components with Studio 5000 and covers I/O configuration, AOPs, and logic associated with the hardware.
  • IC32 – Using the ISA/IEC 62443 Standards for Secure Your Control Systems: This two-day class on June 10 – 11, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. provides a detailed look at how the American National Standards Institute/Industrial Automation and Control Systems Security standards can be used to protect critical control systems. It also explores the technical differences between the security for traditional IT environments and those solutions for supervisory control and data acquisition or plant floor environments.
  • Kinetix Foundations: This one-day class on June 12, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. is targeted towards beginner and intermediate users of motion. Attendees will focus on drives, motors, and processors regarding motion module configuration, axes configuration, testing, motion direct commands, and more, specifically for Studio 5000.
  • Kinetix Advanced: This one-day class on June 13, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. follows up the Kinetix Foundations class and will dive deeper into drives, motors, and processors specifically for Studio 5000. Attendees should have a strong familiarity with Studio 5000 and be moderately familiar with motion.
  • EtherNet/IP Foundations: In this one-day class on June 18, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., electrical industry professionals will learn the fundamentals of design and troubleshooting EtherNet/IP networks in a Logix-based control system including the fundamentals of EtherNet, design of media and infrastructure, and initial configuration of Stratix industrial switches. 
  • EtherNet/IP Advanced: Industrial automation professionals are encouraged to attend this two-day class on June 19 – 20, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Students will review the design and troubleshooting of EtherNet/IP network in a Logix-based control system. They will also earn 14 continuing education credits.
  • Visualization Introduction: This FREE class, aimed towards industrial automation professionals, will be held on June 24, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Attendees will learn the basics of using FactoryTalk View Studio Machine Edition to edit an application for a PanelView Plus 7 Terminal.
  • Visualization Foundations: This two-day class will take place June 25 – 26, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and will dive deeper into the use of FactoryTalk View Studio Machine Edition to program a PanelView Plus 7 Terminal.
  • Live Webinar: Effective Strategies for Developing and Maintaining your Arc Flash Program. Safety managers are encouraged to attend this FREE online class on June 6, from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Students will learn to identify how the core safety programs of lockout/tagout, machine safety, and arch flash combined to provide a backbone of a company’s worker safety program.

Additional July Training

  • EtherNet/IP Foundations: In this one-day class on July 9, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., electrical industry professionals will learn the fundamentals of design and troubleshooting EtherNet/IP networks in a Logix-based control system including the fundamentals of EtherNet, design of media and infrastructure, and initial configuration of Stratix industrial switches. 
  • EtherNet/IP Advanced: Industrial automation professionals are encouraged to attend this two-day class on July 10 – 11, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Students will review the design and troubleshooting of EtherNet/IP network in a Logix-based control system. They will also earn 14 continuing education credits. 
  • TTBC – Technician Training Boot Camp: This five-day course will take place July 15 – 19, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Friday. This technical training course has minimum lecture times and maximum hands-on experience in equipment labs. The course will start with basic instrumentation fundamentals, will end with advanced smart technology, and will help attendees advance an automation and process control career.
  • Logix Introduction:  On July 16, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., electricians, operators, and maintenance personnel are encouraged to attend this free overview on the basic workings of the ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms.
  • Kinetix Workbench: On July 17, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., students will learn about new topics and products for Kinetix Motion and will get hands-on lab opportunities.
